Michael Thomas, FASID and Michael Baker hosted the event to introduce their new studio at the Scottsdale Design District in Scottsdale, AZ. This new endeavor in the desert valley features custom and production cabinetry, decorative hardware, tile collections and unique, one-of-a-kind accessories from artists and craftspeople from around the globe.

Dinner with the ASID President
The four winners of the “Dinner with the President” selected after attending the Scottsdale Design District’s Business of Design Conference celebrated the New Year with a toast, great conversation and yummy food. And when designers get together…. what do they always do? …..Share our passion for the practice and business of interior design. Michael A. Thomas, FASID hosted Melinda Foote, Susan Hersker, Kari Jensen and Amy Strang in the private dining room at True Foods Restaurant in Phoenix.
Great time and what a way to start the New Year and have New Friends to do that with.
Holiday Wishes
It is yet another holiday season and time to take a moment to acknowledge important relationships that extend from season to season and from year to year. We look forward to the coming months with hope and anticipation and share these wishes with you for a prosperous, healthy and happy 2011.
And though many parts of the country continue to face challenges, at the end of the day, it is important to remember that it is still the relationships that bind us all together,..connecting us in a global network that can empower and sustain us in both good times and bad times.
Circling the Internet again this year is a beautiful short video to reminds us that many American soldiers will not be homeward bound to be with their families for the holidays. It speaks clearly of the importance to remember those who strive valiantly in lands far away, so far away from their own relationships at thistime of year.
